Urgent Message From Idaho Republican Headquarters

It has come to our attention that Walt Minnick is contacting Republican State Legislators and asking them to support his candidacy. Needless to say, this desperate ploy must be rejected.
While Mr. Minnick may be ashamed to be a Democrat, he is most definitely not a Republican. Let’s review some of the positions that Mr. Minnick has taken:
· Gun control: Walt Minnick has said that he supports the Brady Bill.
· Universal health care: Walt Minnick has stated that he supports universal health care.
· Power and Water supplies: Walt Minnick has supported severe draw downs of federal reservoirs, thereby jeopardizing electrical power and water supplies
Gun control; universal health care; radical environmental positions that rob us of needed energy and water supplies. These are not Republican principles and they are definitely not good for Idaho; these are liberal, Democrat positions – just like Nancy Pelosi and Ted Kennedy – best suited for San Francisco and Massachusetts.
In contrast, Congressman Bill Sali has brought an Idaho style of strong, principled leadership to Congress with him. He has been recognized as President of his class by fellow Republicans and has received numerous awards and other recognitions of his accomplishments for Idaho.
As we were all reminded recently by former Senators Jim McClure and Steve Symms, it is critical that we retain control of Idaho’s 1st Congressional District seat. Four years of Larry LaRocco in the early 90’s and 24-years of Democrat Governors in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s should serve to remind us all what happens when the Democrats gain a toe-hold. We simply cannot allow this to happen. Please do all you can to help us remain vigilant in this task.
Thank you for all that you do, and please let us know if there is anything we can do to be of assistance.

Norm Semanko, Chairman

Ladies and Gentlemen, I wish to voice my displeasure of your endorsment of Raul Labrador. The advertisement on TV is accurate and tells what Raul is really about. His web site states that he will guarantee amnesty for illegals. That put the frosting on the cake for me. I have voted a straight ticket for several years and now my vote will be a split ticket in the future. It will be about the candidate, not the party. I did not vote for Walt last time, but this time I will. I feel that both parties have raped this country inside and out due to the fact that a real balanced budget has not come from either party and both parties seem to under the idea you can borrow money forever. I hope more independents run in the future. Our government is out of control on both sides and the question is, can this country now survive. I am a very disgruntled constiuite and now am going to be more vocal. Sincerely yours, Chuck King
